It was cold, cold, cold here on Friday night so I managed to snuggle up in front of the tv and get some stitching done for FNSI.
A new design, I’ve been stitching it in my favourite Cottage Garden threads, gorgeous variegated colours and truly Australian. I’ve been using Cherry Blossom, perfect shades of red and pink…just love them, don’t you?
Earlier in the day I finished off some Christmas in July swap gifts…I’m sure my partner doesn’t read my blog so I can share (and if she does, well………..you won’t REALLY know they’re yours till they arrive now will you?)
Over the weekend, I’ve been busy doing ‘other things’…still crafty but ‘different’.
I took part in a workshop and transformed this ugly duckling….
…into this using an Australian-branded Chalk Paint!
I think she’s beautiful…..she’s still needing some dressing up, but I have dyed a lace doily in the same blue in the stencil and will be making it into a lovely chair cushion, so she doesn’t feel so…….naked.
So, have you had a chance to pop in to visit everyone else to see what they accomplished for FNSI? Check back HERE to see ……gee I hope the links work this time….don’t know what happened with them this month, I’ve had no response from the developer so please forgive me if you can’t easily get to some of our stitchers. I’ll definitely be following up on this. grrrr
Now, seeing as it’s Christmas in July, and lots of our FNSI-ers had Christmas projects in mind, I found this great pattern as our July prize.
I wonder if MR RNG will pick your name out of the hat this month to win Holly? Make sure you’ve got your post up on your page sharing your Friday night adventures by Monday and if you have and your name gets drawn, you win this month’s prize!
Can’t wait to see what everyone got up to…..good luck!
xox Sugary hugs :o)
